Starting
in 2008, CARF will reorganize its standards according to a model
that helps organizations better meet the demands of the modern health
and human service environment. The model, called ASPIRE to Excellence,
represents a framework of action oriented organization competencies
that embeds systematic quality mechanisms. The model is a product
of 40 years of thought leadership demonstrated by CARF and an extension
of CARFs long-standing accreditation model of quality.
This
pre-conference session is designed to introduce CARF-accredited
opioid treatment programs to the six high-level competencies of
the ASPIRE to Excellence model as well as allow for a forum discussion
of accreditation questions and concerns.
At
the end of this session participants will:
-
Understand the ASPIRE to Excellence Model and its six competencies
- Understand
the models impact on the standards and the accreditation
process
- Have
an opportunity to address concerns regarding the accreditation
process
Sponsored
by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities
(CARF).
