2018 International Participation

On behalf of AATOD and its International Committee, we are pleased to provide you with another highly interesting, informative, and exciting opportunity to learn about the treatment, research, policy, practice and procedures, and other recovery efforts that are taking place around the world. Global access to Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) is increasing and AATOD, Europad, and the World Federation for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence (WFTOD) continue to enthusiastically collaborate with world leaders in our field to provide a unique, one-of-a-kind, venue for our US colleagues and an increasing number of international participants and presenters.
If you are curious about international developments in our field, please join us in New York City for workshops and symposia featuring news, updates, and developments from around the world. We invite you to join us on Sunday and Monday afternoons for two special sessions focusing on developing international issues, challenges, and successes.  As you know, our conference is always filled with workshops, plenary sessions, and other learning and sharing activities, so I encourage you to find some time to welcome your international colleagues, to learn of their successes and challenges, share ideas, and build relationships.
As of this writing, we look forward to welcoming our friends from Australia, Switzerland, Slovenia, Canada, Kenya, France, Israel, Italy, The Netherlands, Norway, Germany, Ireland, The United Kingdom, Bulgaria, Belgium, Uruguay, Austria, and Vietnam as speakers and participants. (This list is growing every day.)
Also, don’t miss the opportunity to meet and say hello to your International colleagues at the Poster Session on Monday.
And, please remember to join us at the Awards Banquet on Monday evening as we honor, among others, Gabrielle Fischer, MD from Austria, for their outstanding contributions to the field of Medication Assisted Treatment.
I look forward to seeing you in New York.  I wish you safe travels as you make your way to New York.
