Conference Itinerary Planner

Things to do in Walt Disney World

As the HOT summer days are forcing you inside for air conditioning and tall glasses of
lemonade, it’s time to set your sights on attending the 2019 AATOD Conference at “the happiest place on earth” in Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. We absolutely know you will enjoy your stay as there is so much to do both inside and outside of Disney. Here are a couple of ideas: Go classic with Walt Disney’s Magic Kingdom, the first of the four theme parks that captures the enchantment of fairy tales with the lovely Cinderella castle at its heart. Make a plan to see all your favorites and some of the newest experiences like: the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Splash Mountain, Enchanted Tales with Belle, and best of all “Happily Ever After” which is the nightly show of fireworks that will be able to see even if you are not inside the park.
Taste your way around the world with delicious food and beverage selections at Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival. The global marketplaces are the heart and soul of the festival, with a focus on interesting cuisines you’ve always wanted to try. Visit the kiosks for each tempting menu and take in the background sites, Italy, Mexico, France, Morocco, China, Germany and so much more.
Go on adventure at Disney’s Animal Kingdom with the newly created Pandora – the World of Avatar. Journey deep into a bioluminescent rainforest in search of the Na’vi Shaman of Songs or fly on the back of a mountain banshee during the exhilarating, 3D ride.
Looking for blockbuster thrills? Then go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios where Hollywood-inspired attractions will entertain you. Enter the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, a free-fall thrill ride set in the Twilight Zone with an elaborate lead-in and excellent story line. After a good thrill, shake it all off with some laughs at the MuppetVision 3D show. Later, travel the Star Wars universe in Star Tours: the Adventures Continue and cap it all off with Fantasmic!, their nighttime spectacular, its own unique fireworks and show unlike the others.
There is so much to do this is just an appetizer of options. If you are looking for additional reason of what to do outside the near vicinity of your hotel stay and additional suggestions for places to explore, read pages 8 and 9 from your Hospitality Committee in the Conference Brochure.
