Arturo Valdez is the Division Director of Substance Abuse Treatment Programs for Pilsen Wellness Center, in Chicago Illinois, a non for profit Organization with 41 years of existence.
Mr. Valdez is an M.D. who graduated from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. He has been working in the field of Addictions for the last 28 years in Chicago, Illinois. He is a Certified Supervisor of Alcohol and Drug Counseling. Additionally, Mr. Valdez holds a certification in Nonprofit Management from Roosevelt University in Chicago. His experience in the Addictions field includes Prevention, Outpatient Treatment, Residential Treatment, Opiate Maintenance Therapy, and Transitional Housing.
Mr. Valdez work experience consists of both, Clinical and Administrative areas of Substance Abuse Treatment. He has implemented innovative interventions and best practices for several substance abuse programs applicable to adolescents and adults
Mr. Valdez has served on different Boards and Committees advocating on public policy, ethnic and health disparities. He is the current President of the Illinois Association for Medication Assisted Addiction Treatment.
