Dr. Figueroa Guillen is the Executive Director of Imperial Valley Drug & Rehab Clinic located in El Centro, California. Dr. Figueroa Guillen is also owner and Executive Director of thirteen Alcohol and Drug Addiction clinics that provide rehabilitation services and medication for six states of the Mexican Republic; Baja California, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Federal District of Mexico, and Tamaulipas.
Dr. Figueroa Guillen resume includes a M.D., from Universidad Autonoma de Mexico School of Medicine, Mexico City; Certificate of Hospital Management, Universidad Autonoma de Baja California, Mexicali, B.C., Mexico, Certificate of Criminology, Universidad Autonoma de Baja California, Mexicali, B.C., Mexico, and Certificate of HIV Detection, Sacramento, California. Dr. Figueroa Guillen is currently enrolled with the University of Irvine working towards her Doctorate in Psychology.
Dr. Figueroa Guillen is an Honorary Member of the National Hispanic Science Network on Drug Abuse, Washington, D.C.; Secretary, President of the Mexican Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence, Tijuana, B.C., Mexico; Co-investigator with Dr. Jonathan Brodie for the research team of New York University School of Medicine in 2009, including several articles on the web “Last G.V.G. research study on Cocaine” 2003, 2005, 2007 and October 2008. Recently Dr. Figueroa Guillen is currently contributing in a book that will be published this summer with The Consortium of Physicians from Latin America (COPHYLA) a program that addresses concerns on racial and ethnic disparities in the healthcare workforce and the need for innovative and creative approaches for addressing multicultural health.
Dr. Figueroa Guillen is the mother of one daughter, and two sons as well as to one granddaughter and two grandsons.
