THREE POWERFUL PLENARY SESSIONS #aatod2018

As the conference approaches we are all getting really excited. Although we are bracing for a snow storm tomorrow, we are hopeful (and the forecast suggests) that we will have more Spring-like weather by the time the conference begins. We can’t wait to see you and to share all that the city has to offer.

While you are here enjoying NYC, we have planned an excellent educational opportunity for you to take advantage of and we hope that you will seize these opportunities to hear from some of our national and international authorities. The three Plenary sessions have come together wonderfully and we have an extraordinary lineup of presenters who will share wide-ranging information from their multiple perspectives on the treatment of opioid use disorders and they will also share knowledge of related issues that impact our nation and our world. One change from the pre-conference brochure, we have recently received confirmation the Congressman Patrick Kennedy will be joining us during the Closing Plenary to share his efforts to advocate for greater access to mental health and addiction treatment and his thoughts on overall solutions to the opioid crisis and Elinore McCance-Katz, MD, PhD, the first Assistant Secretary for Mental Health and Substance Use will be provide information on the federal response to the opioid crisis and will close the proceedings. You won’t want to miss it!

If you haven’t registered yet…please make sure to sign up right away. We have already received a record number of registrants and hope to count you among them!

I look forward to seeing you all here in New York City!

Warmly,
Sarah
