Mr.
Hardin is the first elected President of the Indiana Association
for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence (INTOD) and subsequently
became the Indiana representative on the American Association for
the Treatment of Opioid Dependence (AATOD) Board of Directors.
Mr.
Hardin is the Colonial Management Group, Regional Director responsible
for oversight of nine clinics in four states (MN, IN, WI, MO.).
He has been with Colonial Management Group since 1999, where he
started as counselor before moving to Program Director in 2001 and
Regional Director in 2009.
He
is a member of the Division of Mental Health and Addiction, Indiana
Addiction Planning Council. Mr. Hardin is the first medication-assisted
treatment provider to be appointed to this council in its 37 year
history. As a council member he advises the state regarding practices
and policies, including proposed policies which impact on substance
abuse prevention, treatment and substance abusing populations.
Mr.
Hardin is a magna cum laude graduate of Calumet College of ST. Joseph,
with a degree in Psychology/Addictionlogy. He later attended the
Valparaiso University School of Law. Prior to attending law school
Mr. Hardin successfully completed the first Indiana Conference on
Legal Opportunity (ICLEO) at the Indiana University Law School (Bloomington).
Mr.
Hardin is originally from Chicago, IL, where he resided until moving
to N/W Indiana in 1982.
