Mr. Brown is the AATOD Board member representing the Louisiana Methadone Treatment Association. Mr. Brown is the sponsor and Executive Director of Choices of Louisiana, a multi-site narcotic treatment organization with locations in La Place and Alexandria, Louisiana.

Mr. Brown obtained a B.S. degree in Psychology from Georgia State University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and received the President's Plaque for academic excellence among numerous other academic accolades. He later received a M.S. degree in Psychology from Augusta College. He is currently a Louisiana Board Certified Substance Abuse Counselor and an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

Mr. Brown was a charter member of the Louisiana Methadone Treatment Association (LMTA) and has been a sitting Board member since its inception. As a LMTA member, he has been a representative to the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy Regulatory Committee in their preparation of the Drug Abuse Treatment Programs regulations and worked with the state of Louisiana on the development of Opiate Addiction Treatment Program regulations.

Mr. Brown has been a professional in the substance abuse treatment field for over 15 years with experience in all aspects of treatment including; in-patient substance abuse and psychiatric, outpatient substance abuse, extended care transitional facilities, plus opioid addiction treatment where he has worked the past eight years.

He presently owns Mardi Gras Meadows where he breeds National Show Horses, American Saddlebreds and Arabian horses.
