Webinar Alert ‼️ Guiding Opioid Treatment Programs in Enhancing Compliance with SAMHSA Regulations 📆Wednesday, July 16, 2025 12:30 - 2:00 PM EST Free of Cost REGISTER ➡️ bit.ly/4kwN6G2 AATOD has been working over the last several months to better understand how OTPs and states are aligning with Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) regulations, which were finalized on October 4, 2024. OTPs have reported on the benefits of the new regulations, as patient retention has improved due to more flexible take-home opportunities. Additionally, patient admissions have increased since the one-year pretreatment requirement for using opioids was eliminated. Furthermore, healthcare organizations have been increasing their referrals to OTPs based on their understanding that there is greater flexibility in providing patient care. There have been some questions about meeting patient counseling standards and determining when to submit patient exemption requests. Mark Parrino will serve as the moderator for this session. Dr. Patti Juliana, Director of the Office of Pharmacologic Therapies at SAMHSA, will present, along with Nichole Smith (Regulatory Programs Branch Chief - Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration). We encourage OTP providers and our policy partners to participate in this webinar given the importance of the topics being covered.
