Dr. Anahi Ortiz is a primary care physician whose focus has been on prevention in under-served communities. She was appointed to the office of Franklin County Coroner in November of 2014; and has been working on addressing the increasing numbers of overdose deaths. She hosted the Franklin County Opiate Crisis Summit in 2016 and 2017 that drew a wide participation. Dr. Ortiz also worked on a Community Action Plan to address the opiate crisis; and in 2016 launched the Franklin County Opiate Crisis Task Force. She currently chairs the Recovery Committee of the County/City Opiate Action Plan.
