As the Director of Addiction Services for the Connecticut Department of Correction, Dr. Maurer is responsible for all substance use disorder care at the Department including psychosocial care as well as MAT for the inmate-patient population. Prior to beginning state service, she worked as a provider/administrator in the private sector. Since 2013, she has developed a system-wide MAT program at the CT DOC, treating more than 200 patients daily with methadone. Dr. Maurer is boarded in internal medicine, occupational medicine, and addiction medicine and holds MD, MPH, and MBA degrees.
