Sonya joined CATC in 2016 as Chief Operating Officer, bringing 16 years of health sector experience and a keen focus on cultural transformation to her role. Over her career, Sonya has worked with some of Canada’s leading private and public healthcare organizations as a management consultant and later as an operations executive.
Driven by a personal passion for improving access to high-quality, cost effective medical care, particularly in rural communities, Sonya is committed to changing the trajectory of the opioid epidemic in Canada. Sonya is responsible for managing all facets of the Canadian operations, setting company direction and expanding CATC’s presence across Canada. CATC currently operates 70+ Treatment Centres in Canada, delivering care to over 15,000 patients a month.
Sonya holds an HBSc in Medical Laboratory Sciences from the University of Alberta and an MBA from the University of Toronto.
