Victor Nevarez (Mr. Nevarez) is bilingual, empathic and passionate; trauma informed Clinical Director who has accelerated professionally in the Substance Use Disorder field. Mr. Nevarez provides expertise in Medically Assisted Treatments (MAT) such as Vivitrol, Buprenorphine/Naloxone, and Methadone in the Outpatient and Detox platforms. Mr. Nevarez was notably distinguished early on in his career as he implemented innovative interventions and best practices a highly successful DUI treatment services center for the Hispanic population in Chicago, Illinois. Due to Mr. Nevarez‘s rapport with all he encounters. Mr. Nevarez was promoted as Clinical Director of Duane Dean Behavioral Center in Kankakee whereas Victor and his team service a population that sits in the Heartland of the Opiate epidemic for the Midwest.
With 14 years of professional experience, Mr. Nevarez has dedicated his life to being a protector for the afflicted to restore their lives to a place of wholeness using a holistic approach. Mr. Nevarez holds several, certifications, Certified AODA Counselor, Anger Management Trainer, Qualified HIV Early Intervention Counselor, and DUI Service Provider. Mr. Nevarez experience in the Addictions field includes Prevention, Outpatient Treatment, Residential Treatment, and Opiate Maintenance Therapy.
Mr. Nevarez is the newly elected President of the Illinois Association for Medication Assisted Addiction Treatment. Mr. Nevarez serves on multiple Boards and Committees advocating for MAT in the Kankakee County.
