Abigail Kay, M.A., M.D.
Dr. Kay is the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs/undergraduate Medical Education at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University and is also a clinician in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior. Dr. Kay is board certified in general psychiatry, addiction medicine, and is a psychoanalyst. In her clinical role, she divides her time between working with patients with addiction disorders at the Narcotic Addiction Rehabilitation Program (NARP) and working with patients in psychoanalysis/insight oriented psychotherapy at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Prior to taking on the role of Assistant Dean, She was the Medical Director at NARP for ten years. In addition to lecturing extensively within the medical college, Dr. Kay has lectured nationally on taking care of patients with addiction use disorders, as well as on innovative teaching methods for medical students.
