MAT organizations will learn how to accelerate their progress toward zero harm through a framework of high-reliability. High reliability health care refers to patient care that is consistently excellent and safe over long periods across all services and settings. Achieving high reliability requires: 1).Leadership committed to the goal of zero harm; 2).A safety culture where all staff can speak up about things that would negatively impact the organization; 3).An empowered work force that employs Robust Process Improvement® (RPI®) tools to drive significant and lasting change.
Learning Objectives:
- Design a leadership team that is committed to High Reliability health care and the goal of zero harm.
- Develop an organizational safety culture where all staff can speak up about things that would negatively impact the organization.
- Organize an empowered work force that employs Robust Process Improvement® (RPI®) tools to address the improvement opportunities they find and drive significant and lasting change.
